I wanted to share the other alternative cards that I showed tonight on Facebook live. There are so many fun ways to play with the set. First, here are the two cards that come with the kit:
I followed the directions until the last step. Each card in their sample showed only one butterfly. I decided to add two. Gasp. Such a rebel.
Then you can play around with other ways of using the supplies. The Calypso Coral card is not a standard size card so I wanted to add it to a regular card base (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). In this case, I chose black because I think the white shimmer paper really stands out against the black.
Many of the alternatives that I featured use the Party Panda set. Once again I wanted to create a larger card so I took a Lemon Lime Twist base which matches the leaves. I cut these leaves off the green square that I used on another alternative card. Then I cut out a couple of the pandas so they could peak through the trellis to say “hi”!
And the Party Panda stamp set is currently available for FREE with a $50 Stampin Up! order. One option is to buy a 3 month prepaid subscription for Paper Pumpkin (which is $59) and get the pandas for FREE!! And who doesn’t love free stuff??? Plus then you can join me each month in making the Paper Pumpkin kits together!
My final alternative is actually my least favorite. I considered not showing it because I messed up but we all mess up! It’s part of crafting! You should see the number of times that I have to flip a paper over and re-stamp because the first one didn’t work out. It happens! This is the first alternative that I worked on. It’s a shaker card with the white shimmer paper inside. I used the flowers from Colorful Seasons to stamp some extra color on the card.
Don’t forget to sign up for the January Paper Pumpkin kit by Jan 10th! Then join me on January 31st to create together!
Until then, encourage one another and build each other up!
